Our file is on its way back to pei and then being sent to Ethiopia. We are getting a little closer every day. Still a long wait but at least the behind the scenes events are happening.

Storm day here on our little Island.  Unfortunately I still have to head to work.  We are getting ready to send another big chunk of funds, the last big chunk, to our agency.  This is exciting news because it means our file will be sent to Ethiopia very soon.  Still its a waiting game, but each accomplishment is one step closer.

We are kind of swarming in fundraising life, which is good but tiring. Anyone out there have ideas let us know.   Every little bit counts and we would like to be able to bring some type of gifts with us to the orphanage or Faith Village when we arrive.  Not sure what yet or if we are even permitted to do that.  We  will have to wait and see.

Today we found out that our papers will be sent off for Authentication in Ottawa. Once this is complete they are then sent back to us at home and then off to Ethiopia. Yeah!!!! Very Exciting.

We got word today from our agency worker that they now have our papers.! Yes! We are getting closer. We saw a family tonite while we were out who were obviously a multi racial family. It was exciting to see them. We are all soooo excited. They had 6 kids, all different ethnicity.

Sending off more important papers tomorrow. We are now at the point where we have to prove we are Canadian citizens. This is necessary in order for us to be able to bring our little one home to Canada once we get to that point. Something that we are told can take up to 8mths. So although we don't even have a referral for a child yet we would hate to have to wait extra time because the immigration documents had not been processed.

We are hoping that our other papers have been sent off to our agency and that we will get word soon that the next part of the process will begin. Little steps every day bring us closer to the big day.

We have finally decided to start the blog journey of our family.
Since we have received our provincial approval for our adoption we are ready to share our news with those of you who would like to keep updated.
We are soooo excited to have finally past this hurdle and are looking forward to the next few weeks and months to see what news they bring.
